Computing

Computing at St Anthony’s is taught by a specialist teacher. We provide a high-quality computing education that equips pupils to use computational thinking and creativity to understand and change the world.

On-line Safety is an integral part of all lessons and children learn from an early age how to keep themselves safe.

Computing has strong links to other subjects and is used to support learning throughout the school.

Computing also ensures that pupils become digitally literate – able to use, and express themselves and develop their ideas through, information and communication technology.

After all, we are educating children and preparing them for jobs that do not exist yet.

Children are taught to be responsible, competent, confident and creative users of information and communication technology.

Our curriculum has five key areas of learning and each half term the children learn through a topic based approach.

The main areas are:
Multimedia
Programming
Digital Literacy
E Safety
Data
