At St. Anthony's School, the safety and wellbeing of our students is our top priority. We are committed to providing a safe and supportive environment where every child can thrive. Our dedicated staff is trained to recognise signs of abuse, neglect, or harm, and we take all concerns seriously.

Our Commitment to Safeguarding

We adhere to the safeguarding policies and procedures set forth by the government and our local authority. This includes:

Child Protection: We have clear policies in place to protect children from harm and to ensure that any incidents are reported and managed appropriately.

Safer Recruitment: All staff and volunteers undergo thorough background checks and training to ensure they are suitable to work with children.

Training and Awareness: Our staff receive regular training on safeguarding issues, including recognising and responding to signs of abuse, mental health concerns, and online safety.

Reporting Concerns

We encourage all members of our school community—students, parents, and staff—to report any concerns they may have regarding the safety and welfare of our children. Concerns can be raised directly with any member of staff or through the following designated safeguarding leads:

What can you do if you have a safeguarding concern?

If you have a safeguarding concern regarding a child / family in school, please speak to the designated safeguarding lead or deputy designated safeguarding lead.

Your details will be treated confidentially and will not be disclosed to members of the family in question without your consent.
