On behalf of the staff and governors, I am delighted to welcome you to St Anthony’s Catholic Primary School and thank you for visiting our website.
St Anthony’s has proudly served the Anerley community for over 120 years. Nestled in the London Borough of Bromley—close to Beckenham, and near the borders of Lewisham and Croydon—we are a small, single-form entry school with a big heart.
Rooted in the values of love, faith, and resilience, our school is an inclusive and nurturing environment where every child is celebrated and supported. We embrace the rich social and cultural diversity of our community, delivering a balanced and engaging curriculum that promotes not only academic success but the growth of the whole child.
While we are committed to achieving excellence for all, we believe that education is about far more than just results. Our aim is to ensure that every pupil achieves their full potential and is inspired to aspire toward greatness, equipped with the knowledge, skills, and character they need for the future.
Our most recent Ofsted inspection rated us as a ‘Good’ school. The report praised our high expectations, strong pupil engagement, and effective teaching across the curriculum, stating:
"The school’s vision for its pupils is to ‘promote high achievement and mutual respect’. Pupils respond well to these high expectations. They work hard in lessons. Pupils typically learn and achieve well across the curriculum."
In addition, our recent denominational inspection highlighted the depth of care we offer:
"Pupils benefit greatly from outstanding pastoral care. They acknowledge that teachers genuinely look after them."
At St Anthony’s, we are proud to be part of the St Oscar Romero Catholic Academy Trust, which supports the Archbishop’s vision for Catholic education across the Diocese.
If you are considering joining our school community, I warmly invite you to contact our school office to arrange a tour. I look forward to meeting you and sharing more about how we live out our mission every day—encouraging every child to flourish academically, grow spiritually, and become resilient, respectful individuals prepared for a bright future.

With warm regards,
Ms Danielle Gayle
